Exhibition Project: "Trop Urbains, Trop Humains"
Ongoing project - Scheduled for 2026
Remistoko

The photographer and videographer remistoko invites you on an immersive journey through the daily reality of working-class neighbourhoods.

In a world where depictions of shanty towns often reduce them to misery and chaos, this exhibition offers a fresh perspective: one of connection, dignity and creativity. It challenges our perception of otherness - how different are these men and women truly from ourselves?

"Trop Urbains, Trop Humains" is more than an observation; it's a documentary voyage that disrupts preconceptions and fosters dialogue between intersecting worlds.

"We're all bound by the same need for love - to approach others with open hearts," asserts remistoko. What if we looked beyond stereotypes? What if 'the other' wasn't so alien after all?

Visitors equipped with audio headsets will experience:

Soundscapes: Children's laughter, market bustle, workshop clangour, impromptu football matches

Visual narratives: 25 portraits capturing residents' resilience and quiet majesty

Multisensory immersion: Olfactory evocations of alleyways (dust, spices, tarmac) interwoven with documentary excerpts

This is no ordinary exhibition, but rather a profound encounter with those carrying universal humanity amidst adversity.
